Also, the students of SSLC plus 2 matriculation and the VHSC level students who want to pursue higher vocational studies also qualify for this internship. However, if the student applies for this scholarship correctly, then they are eligible to get up to Rs 15,000 in financial assistance according to their educational level.

What are the Eligibility Criteria for the Prof Joseph Mundassery Scholarship?

The eligibility criteria for the Prof Joseph Mundassery Scholarship are as follows: 

1. The candidate must be a permanent resident of Kerala. 
2. The student must belong to the Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, Jain, or Parsi community. 
3. An applicant must have passed their college from a government-recognized university or institution. 
4. The annual income of the family should not be more than Rs 8 lakhs. 
5. An applicant must have their bank account in the Kerala Branch. 
6. Undergraduate students must have secured at least 80% marks in their qualifying exam. 
7. Post-graduate students must have secured at least 75% marks in the qualifying exam. 
8. All the SSLC students must secure an A+ grade or higher marks in all the subjects.

What is the Selection Process for this scholarship? 

The selection process for the scholarship is as follows: 

1) Application Scrutiny

When students submit their online application, their application will be reviewed in detail on the visitor portal. If a student has made mistakes or omitted information on the application or attached documents or forms, their application may be rejected. Therefore, students should carefully enter their information correctly before applying. 

2) Document Verification

Authorities verify the important documents such as Income Certificate, Community Certificate, Mark sheets, and Bank Account details. Applications with valid, original, and appropriately uploaded documents will be accepted for processing. 

3) Preparation of Merit List

After verification, a merit list is prepared based on the students’ academic performance. Students who have the highest marks in SSLC, undergraduate, or postgraduate examinations will receive preference for the scholarship. 

4) Final Selection

Students whose applications are verified and are on the merit list are eligible for scholarship approval. This process ensures that selected students are legitimate and meet all requirements. 

5) Disbursement of the Scholarship

Once the final list is approved, the scholarship amounts will be automatically credited through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to students’ bank accounts. Thus, the transfer will be performed quickly and efficiently with no third party or intermediaries involved.
